1957 Yamaha YD-A makes it's debut at Stafford Show 2024
After a very long effort over a long time, the YD-A made it's debut in public after being restored on 12th & 13th August 2024 at the Stafford Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, where it was displayed on the VJMC stand.
The machine was well received with lots of admirers and lots of questions, very often "what actually is it ??"
I was very happy at the end of the weekend as the bike won an award for the Best Yamaha in show, with the compare, racing commentator Jack Burnicle proclaiming "have you seen that thing?!" which made me chuckle....
I must add here, a great big thanks to all of those people who have helped me along this journey to bring this historic machine back to life.... You know who you are !
